Job Description

We are seeking experienced Oracle DBAs to join our dynamic team. As an Oracle DBA at TCS, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing Oracle databases, ensuring high availability and performance, and implementing best practices in database administration.

  5. Position. Oracle Database Administrator (L2 Engineer)
  6. Experience. 5-10+ years

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oracle RAC Knowledge. Expertise in Oracle RAC 11g, 12c, and 18c, including networking, troubleshooting, and background processes. Experience with upgrades from Oracle 10g to 11g, 11g to 12c, and 12c to 18c.
  2. Database Migration. Proficient in Oracle database migration across platforms, installation, configuration, and implementation of Oracle databases as per best practices. Manage database user roles and apply PSU patching regularly.
  3. Performance Tuning. Conduct performance tuning of Oracle databases and proactively monitor systems to ensure optimal performance and high availability.
  4. Security and Compliance. Experience with Oracle Vault, TDE, RMAN, and backup solutions. Knowledge of database security and compliance.
  5. Support and Problem Solving. Ability to handle 24x7 support, troubleshoot issues, and plan capacity to benefit future services. Basic knowledge of other databases like MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and IBM DB2 is a plus.

Must-Have Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Oracle Single and RAC instances.
  • Experience with DR drills and TDE implementation.
  • Proficiency in performance tuning of Oracle databases.
  • Oracle OCA and OCP certification is preferred.

Qualifications. Minimum 15 years of full-time education.
