SAN FRANCISCO — January 2026 — Anthropic has introduced interactive tools and app integrations in Claude, enabling users to move more fluidly between thinking, creating, and collaborating across the tools they already use.
The update adds support for interactive elements such as tables, charts, and structured layouts inside Claude, while also connecting the assistant to popular work applications including Asana, Draft, Slack, and Figma. Anthropic said the goal is to reduce context switching and let users work through ideas without constantly jumping between apps.
With these integrations, Claude can help users reason and act in context. For example, it can analyze information and turn it into structured plans in Asana, refine writing in Draft, summarize or respond to conversations in Slack, or help think through designs and feedback in Figma. The assistant keeps the analytical work and the output connected, instead of treating them as separate steps.
Interactive tools make that process more tangible. Claude can lay out comparisons in tables, visualize trends in charts, or structure complex decisions step by step, then carry those insights directly into connected apps. Anthropic positioned this as a shift from AI that only generates answers to AI that actively supports ongoing work.
The company emphasized that the experience is designed to stay lightweight and conversational. Interactive elements and app connections appear naturally within Claude, without forcing users into rigid workflows or new interfaces. Users remain in control of what Claude can access and how it’s used.
Anthropic said the combination of interactive tools and integrations reflects its broader vision for Claude as a reasoning partner that fits into real work, not a standalone chatbot. The features are rolling out starting this month, with additional integrations and capabilities planned over time.
