ElevenLabs has introduced Agent Workflows, a new visual editor for designing complex conversation flows within its AI agents platform. The feature gives developers and businesses greater control over how AI agents handle multi-step interactions, route tasks, and apply security and business policies.

With Agent Workflows, teams no longer need to manage all logic within a single large prompt. Instead, they can map decision points, define hand-offs between Subagents, and create clear routes for when an issue should escalate to a human operator.

Each Subagent within a workflow has its own system prompt, tools, and scoped knowledge base. Developers can decide:
