Gemini AI Can Now Remember Past Conversations
Google’s Gemini AI chatbot has a new feature that lets it remember details from previous chats. This means you don’t have to repeat things or search through old conversations for information. It can summarize or recall things you've talked about before.
Available for Google One AI Premium Subscribers
The new memory feature is now available for users who pay $20 per month for Google’s AI service, Google One AI Premium. Google will soon expand this to more languages and business users.
Rolling out starting today, you can ask Gemini to consider your past chats to craft its responses. Easily pick up where you left off or have it summarize a previous topic. You can view, edit, or delete any chats you’ve had with Gemini, and see when it’s used.

Privacy Options for Users
Google lets users control how long their chat history is saved, or they can delete it. You can also turn off the memory feature completely through the "My Activity" page. Google assures users it doesn’t use chats to train its AI.
Memory Features in Other AI Chatbots
Both Google and OpenAI are adding memory features to their AI chatbots. These chatbots can remember things like your preferences, but they don’t save entire conversations automatically. Improving memory is a popular request for AI tools.
