Google Announces Pixel 3 And Pixel 3 XL

Recently, at its Pixel 3 event in New York City, Google has announced the long-awaited Android phones, Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL — the successors to two of the best Android phones of 2017.

The Pixel 3 and 3 XL are pretty much what were expected: the 3 is a 5.5-inch device, and the 3 XL is a 6.3-inch device. The highlight, however, is the rear-facing 12.2MP camera and two front-facing 8MP cameras. The second selfie camera is optimized for wide-angle selfies, enabling you to get an entire group shot without cutting people out of the picture and a new Photobooth mode will allow you take a selfie just by smiling.

One new addition to the camera experience is that Google Lens will be running at all times. This will allow it to show you information much quicker without requiring you to launch Lens by pressing a button.

Top Shot mode is a new capability added to the camera app that uses AI to take best motion photo by capturing alternate shots in HDR+, then it recommends the best one—even if it’s not exactly when you hit the shutter.

Night Sight is another new feature coming to the Pixel 3 enabling you to take natural-looking photos in dark surroundings, all without a flash.

The new version has also been supported with Super Res Zoom which is a computational photography technique (used for astronomy and scientific imaging) that produces sharp details when you zoom.

According to Google "Pixel 3 comes with an 18 Watt fast charger in the box, which can give you seven hours of use in 15 minutes of charging. With our AI-powered Adaptive Battery technique, Pixel 3 prioritizes battery power for your most important apps to make your phone last all day."

The Pixel 3 and 3 XL start at $799 and $899, respectively, at a 64GB configuration. Preorders are available from Verizon, Project Fi, and Google Store, and they will ship from October 18th.
