Google Brings Figma Integration to Google Chat
Figma and Google chat

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. — February 2026 — Google has introduced a new integration that brings Figma directly into Google Chat, making it easier for teams to collaborate on designs without leaving their conversations.

With the new Figma app in Google Chat, users can receive real-time notifications when comments are added, files are shared, or designs are updated. Teams can preview Figma files directly in Chat, reducing the need to switch between tools during active discussions.

The integration is designed to streamline design reviews and feedback loops. When a Figma link is shared in Chat, users can see rich previews that include file details and visuals, helping everyone stay aligned even if they are not inside Figma at the moment.

Google said the update reflects growing demand for tighter integration across Google Workspace and widely used third-party collaboration tools. By bringing Figma into Chat, teams can keep conversations, decisions, and design context in one place.

Admins can control access to the Figma app in Google Chat through Workspace settings, ensuring organizations maintain governance and security standards.

The Figma integration in Google Chat is rolling out beginning in February 2026 and will become available to eligible Google Workspace customers over the coming weeks.

With this addition, Google continues expanding Google Chat as a central collaboration hub, connecting messaging with the tools teams rely on every day.
