Google has announced a significant expansion for its AI-powered music generation tool, Lyria 3 Pro, making it available to a wider range of Google Workspace customers and personal accounts. Initially limited to select editions, this update allows more users to create high-quality musical tracks up to three minutes long directly within the Gemini app.

Advanced Composition and Creative Control

Lyria 3 Pro is not just a simple melody generator; it possesses a sophisticated understanding of musical composition. This allows users to provide detailed prompts for specific song elements, including:

• Intros and Verses

• Choruses and Bridges

• Specific Instrumentals and Styles

This level of control makes it a versatile tool for creating custom soundtracks for presentations, social media assets, or personal creative projects.

Broad Language and Global Support

The music generation feature is available globally and supports prompts in multiple languages, including English, Japanese, Korean, Hindi, Spanish, Portuguese, German, and French. The feature is restricted to users over the age of 18.

Expanded Availability

Starting April 8, 2026, Lyria 3 Pro is now rolling out to:

• Business: Business Starter

• Enterprise: Enterprise Starter

• Education: Fundamentals, Standard, and Plus

• Nonprofits & Frontline Editions

• Consumer: Google AI Plus subscribers

This is in addition to the Business/Enterprise Standard and Plus tiers, as well as Google AI Pro and Ultra users who already have access.

How to Get Started

Users can find the tool by selecting “Create music” from the tools menu in the Gemini app. For Workspace admins, the feature is governed by existing Generative AI controls in the Admin console, allowing organizations to manage access at the organizational unit level.
