October 21, 2025 — Google has announced the latest Feature Reveal for Google Fi Wireless, introducing new AI-driven capabilities and connectivity improvements designed to deliver faster, clearer, and more reliable communication across devices.

The update focuses on solving common wireless frustrations — from dropped calls in low-signal areas to confusing billing details — by combining Google AI, Wi-Fi Auto Connect+, and expanded multi-device features.

Faster, More Reliable Connections — Even Indoors

Google Fi Wireless users already benefit from top-tier 5G speeds through America’s fastest network. However, poor reception in indoor environments like airports or shopping malls can still pose challenges.

To address this, Google is expanding Wi-Fi Auto Connect+ for Pixel phones, which automatically connects users to premium Wi-Fi networks when cellular coverage weakens. This enhancement makes connections twice as reliable as cellular alone and includes automatic end-to-end encryption for privacy.

The rollout now covers millions of additional locations, including major airports such as LAX, ORD, and JFK, as well as participating shopping centers and retail stores. Users will see a W+ icon in their status bar when connected.

“We’re the only major carrier to automatically secure your online activity when you’re on premium Wi-Fi,” Google said in its announcement.

AI-Enhanced Audio for Clearer Calls

A major highlight of this Feature Reveal is the introduction of AI-enhanced audio, arriving in the coming weeks.

Using Google AI, the feature automatically filters out background noise — like wind, traffic, or construction — while enhancing voice clarity for both parties. It works across nearly all call types, including those involving landlines or older devices.

The AI operates automatically in the background, with users having the option to disable it anytime.

Stay Connected Across Devices

Google Fi Wireless continues to expand beyond phones. Subscribers already enjoy connectivity on smartwatches, tablets, and laptops at no extra cost, and upcoming updates will extend this with web calls and messages.

This means users can call, text, and check voicemails from any browser — even when their phone isn’t nearby — without any complicated setup.

The new web interface will include RCS (Rich Communication Services) support, allowing for high-resolution photo and video sharing directly from desktop or tablet browsers.

Smarter In-App Support with Google AI

Managing your wireless plan just got easier.

Google is enhancing the Google Fi app with AI-powered billing summaries that automatically explain charges, highlight monthly changes, and predict how plan adjustments may impact future bills.

The system is designed to make billing transparent and self-explanatory, offering instant answers within the app — without needing to contact customer support.

“Our goal is to give users clarity and control in real time,” Google said. “Now, AI can help explain your bill and even fix network issues automatically.”

Limited-Time Offer for New Customers

To celebrate the latest Feature Reveal, new Google Fi subscribers can get 50% off for 15 months when they bring their own phone and sign up for either the Unlimited Essentials or Unlimited Plan.

The promotion is available for a limited time through the Google Fi Wireless website.

A Smarter Wireless Experience

This latest Feature Reveal reinforces Google’s commitment to merging connectivity with intelligence — making wireless simpler, smarter, and more human-centric.

With AI-enhanced calls, automatic premium Wi-Fi switching, cross-device communication, and intelligent billing summaries, Google Fi Wireless continues to position itself as one of the most innovative mobile carriers in the U.S.
