Opera has just revealed Opera Neon, a new kind of browser designed to do more than just help you browse the web. It’s built with AI agents that can chat with you, do things for you, and even create content, sometimes while you're offline.

Neon is what Opera calls an “agentic browser,” meaning it doesn’t just follow your clicks, it can take action. From searching the web to handling tasks, Neon can automate many of the things you'd normally do yourself.

What makes Neon different?

Chat with the browser: You can talk to Neon’s built-in AI assistant to find things online, manage tabs, and get help, all through natural conversation.

Get things done: Need to fill out a form, book a flight, or order something online? Neon’s AI can do it for you directly inside the browser, keeping your data private.

Make stuff: Whether it’s writing, coding, or designing, Neon can generate content or start projects using cloud-based agents that continue working even when your computer’s off.
