Microsoft Releases Enclave-ready Ethereum Virtual Machine

Microsoft’s Blockchain team just announced a release of Enclave ready Ethereum Virtual Machine (eEVM) for blockchain developers.

eEVM is an open-source, standalone, embeddable, C++ implementation of the Ethereum Virtual Machine. It was originally built to run within a TEE (ie, SGX enclave) on top of the Open Enclave SDK, for use with Microsoft's Confidential Consortium Blockchain Framework.

Based on early documents, it looks like eEVM may also be a part of Microsoft blockchain offering, Azure Workbench.

eEVM supports both Linux and Windows. You can use Visual Studio 2017 to build and run eEVM.

eEVM is available to download on GitHub now.
