Instead of writing formulas or macros from scratch, users can describe what they want to achieve and ChatGPT generates the required logic automatically.

Turning Natural Language Into Spreadsheet Logic

The biggest benefit of ChatGPT for Excel is its ability to translate plain language instructions into structured spreadsheet operations.

For example, users can ask ChatGPT to:

• Generate Excel formulas like VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, or SUMIFS
