Twitter Is Introducing A New And Improved API

The new Twitter API is Rebuilt from the ground up to deliver new features faster.

Twitter is introducing a new Twitter API, which is Rebuilt from the ground up to deliver new features faster. This release includes the first set of new endpoints and features.

Twitter said that with the new API, it is building new elevated access options and new product tracks, so more developers can find options to meet their needs.

Twitter said the new API is built on a completely new foundation and includes new features. With this new foundation, developers can expect to see a more user-friendly cleaner API with new developer features such as the ability to define which fields are returned or to retrieve more Tweets from a conversation in the same response. The new also adds some of the most requested features that were missing from the API, such as conversation threading, poll results in Tweets, pinned Tweets on profiles, spam filtering, and a more powerful stream filtering and search query language.

With the new Twitter API, Twitter is building multiple access levels to make it easier for developers to get started and to grow what they build. So, soon all developers will have options to get elevated access and grow on the same API.
