Recently, Microsoft has released volume 23 of its Security Intelligence Report. The report is based on Microsoft’s analysis of on-premises systems and cloud services, focusing on threat trends. The consumers and commercial on-premises systems and cloud services send anonymous data sources for the report which is operated by Microsoft on a global scale.
 
 
 
The company also shares the key takeaway in the following three points -
  1. Botnets continue to impact millions of computers globally.
  2. Easy marks methods like phishing are commonly used by cybercriminals.
  3. Ransomware remains a force to be reckoned with.
Microsoft also shares some examples of the aforementioned trends in a blog and provides some solutions for standard security practices as-
