These new Insider Previews are launched with a lot of significant improvements and a set of new advanced features to bring more power to the most revolutionary Operating System Microsoft has launched so far. Let’s have a look what is new in these previews.
1. New UI introduced for Start & Action Center so as to implement the elements of new Fluent Design System that Microsoft announced at Build 2017 in May this year.
2. Microsoft Edge has been equipped with several useful improvements, such as – ability to pin favourite websites to your taskbar, ability to show data in full screen mode by pressing F11, ability to view and annotate eBooks (EPUB books as of now), and Ask Cortana feature while viewing PDF documents etc.
3. Cortana is improved with a number of features and enhancements, such as the introduction of vision intelligence in Cortana reminders with capability of setting reminders for the event by sighting a poster in your camera roll, compatibility with digital pen using Lasso tool to keep track of something that you had circled.
4. A new XAML-based handwriting panel has been introduced in this build with more gestures, easier editing, emoji, and more!
Microsoft says,
“Write as much as you want in the panel with the new conversion & overflow model! As you write, you’ll now see your previous words convert to typed text within the handwriting panel. When you fill the handwriting panel and lift your pen off the screen, the text will shift so you have room to continue writing. Press the commit button to insert all the text and clear the slate.”
5. The new Find My Pen functionality will let you get the last used location of your pen so that you can search it easily.
6. New Settings improvements are introduced in this Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 16215, which include new video playback settings, introduction of HDR and Advanced Color Settings Page and Per-App Defaults Settings Page and addition of Updated Network connection properties page.
7. Hardware keyboard improvements include – new Emoji Panel, enhanced text prediction, One-handed touch keyboard to shape your writing, microphone button in touch keyboard to bring the ability for users to dictate to the desktop, etc.
8. Game bar is now improved with the ability to take screenshots of games running in HDR and much more.
