Re: crystal reports parameter passing doubt by Mahesh On June 10, 2010
Thank you Laxmi.

You can do this in two ways.

First, you have to create a parameter to the report and filter on that parameter. If you see one of my arcicles (search site) or go to Reporting section, you will find it.

Second, you place the Textbox on a page and before you generate the report, get that TextBox value, pass it to your database query and bring the data filtered from database. For that, you do not have to make any changes to the report.

Third, you can also filter in memory by calling Select method of DataSet/DataTable. Again, search site for Select method.

Good luck!
