  Does Android Studio provide support of other languages and environments? The advantage of Eclipse and Netbeans is that they support many other languages too. Netbeans is what the makers of Java recommends for Java development. It is true that Eclipse was initially developed to do Java programming. Eclipse was initially developed by IBM but Eclipse is supported by very many software companies, not just individual developers. Eclipse supports a wide variety of languages. I think that for beginners unfamiliar with any IDE, an important consideration is to learn an IDE that can be used for many things. I am sure that Android Studio is good for beginning Android development but I just wanted to add a bit more into the mix of considerations.

    Thanks for your words Sam, you're right in most of your conclusions. That makes sense to say, "Eclipse and NetBeans are software development IDEs" whereas "Android Studio is an IDE for Android programming".. I don't blame Android Studio for supporting Android programming only, I blame it for being an unefficient software such as memory-enemy (unfriendly?). Eclipse, is a great tool for programming. But, in my humble opinion, Visual Studio is the best... It supports almost everything; just can't make a cup of coffee for me but I probably will create one plugin for that once I get my hands on that Raspberry Pi. Damn, a lot of tasty names... I'm feeling hungry.
