Best way to Write an Article

I will always look for article which has more screen shot, mostly it helps to cross check are we on the same track as author suggested.

DK is correct. It depends on the type of article. I think if showing screens help, then definitely yes.

Screen Short style of writing is good only if you are targetting BETA version of some technology. People are yet to see the screens. Some time many screen shorts divert the readers from main purpose of the Article. Imagine if you are writing on DENALI now then Screen shorts are very much required since very few readers might have seen the Denali. But if you are writing on Delagates then probably putting screen shorts may not help much. If we are writing some article very much code oriented like sorting genric array in c# then we can cut short words and may go with flow of code. On the othher hand if we are explanaing Instance managemnet in WCF then we need to be more articualted with words in articles. Having said all above points , I have learnt in last three years that we learn by time. Sometime what we think as author is our strongest point turns as weakest and vice versa

Yes mahesh you are right... But article targeting users from Novice to experts, we can have step by step process and the complete explanation will it be useful? since we cant right a seperate article for a beginner with all steps and for a professional with less steps

It actually depends on the topic. Some topics may not have screen shots at all. I do like simple step by step explanation if there are steps. That gives a clear picture. But if you are targeting articles for advanced users, than you may want to skip basic steps that are very obvious.
