Creating Expressions:


An expression is constructed using the following syntax:


=Fields!field.Value


SQL Server Reporting Services use an expression engine based on
Visual Basic .NET.


Using the Expression Editor

You can open up the expression editor in the following

ways:


  • Right-click on a textbox and select Expression on the popup menu
  • Select Expression at the Value property drop-down list in the
    properties window for a text box.
  • Click the Expression button for the Value property in the text box
    properties dialogbox and in other dialog boxes.
