Microsoft Innovation Centres in India

1 Lac certifications with 100 Innovation Centres in India in next 2 Years; starting with 14 centres ( 4 states of India)!

Very soon, India's 4 states are going to have Microsoft's new Microsoft Innovation Centres (MICs). Microsoft has announced it on last Friday.

These innovative centres will provide supports for local start-ups, certifying students on Microsoft technologies as well as it will allow software developers to work on the Microsoft's research & software.

These four states are –

  1. Andhra Pradesh       - 7 centres
  2. Tamil Nadu               - 5 centres
  3. Madhya Pradesh      - 1 centre
  4. Chhattisgarh            - 1 centre

These colleges and technology based MICs will be  keep focus on India specific technology challenges in mobility (Windows Phone), cloud (Windows Azure), Kinect, accessibility, and healthcare.

In next 2 years, Microsoft is aiming to set-ups at least 100 MICs in India with 1Lacs certified professionals. Each MIC will have its territory up to 5 colleges in its area.
