Button Changing to Picture - C#

I am programming a game in C# using Visual Studios 2003 .Net Compact Framework.

I would like to be able to either change a button to another color when clicked or if that is not possible change it to a picture and have the button disapear.

Advice appreciated-

changing button to picture: place a picture box over the button control,set image property to desired pic,set visible property to false. in the button click event,add the code pictureBox1.visible=true it gives the effect of a button turning to a pic

U can set the backcolor property of button on button click event as button1.BackColor =System.Drawing .Color.Red ;
