Why we are using cursor in sql server rather than we know that a disadvantages of it ?

Hello Well its totally depends on your requirement that when to use and when to do not use Why we can use cursor ? Cursors enable manipulation of whole result sets at once. In this scenario, a cursor enables the rows in a result set to be processed sequentially. In SQL procedures, a cursor makes it possible to define a result set (a set of data rows) and perform complex logic on a row by row basis. Also Advantages of using Cursor: Using Cursor we can perform row by row processing so we can perform row wise validation or operations on each row. Cursors can provide the first few rows before the whole result set is assembled
