How can we maintain previous value in given textbox?

When textbox value 'a' is maintained and cleared then value 'b' given the value 'a' should be maintained in globally. When 'c' given it should maintain 'b' value in string.

Hello,

You can use following code it may be help for you.
In TextBox leave event you can write this.

string a = "", b = "";
bool b1 = false;

private void textBox1_Leave(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
if(b1==false)
{
b1 = true;
a = textBox1.Text;
b = a;
}
else
{
a = b;
b = textBox1.Text;
}
label1.Text = a;
label2.Text = b;

//You can store value of a in your array or List array as per your choices
}

Hi Dear,
My solution is that you can store the textbox value in string type array with any seperator .
when ever u will have to need the previous value or second or third
previous values u can get easily.
after that if u want to get last value then array.length-1 index values .

create one global string variable. When focus enter in textbox save textbox value in that variable. So after changing the value in textbox, you have previous value in variable.

what do you mean by 'maintain'? are you trying to achieve similar to what we have as auto complete in web applications?

Yes, every time when you change the value in text box you have to store in hidden field. Provide what is problem you are facing now. Secondly are you using windows application or web application?
