How To Extract .mdf database file???

I have downloaded a project on online shopping. It Contains database file named "shoping.mdf "
i Am not able to access the database file nor to open or nothing please help. i am using vs10.

You would need to use a Database Management Studio to open the file and perform other operations on it; or at least use the Connection Strings to work with SQL Server Databases in .NET framework.

Even using SSDMS, there is not a 100% chance that you will be able to open the database file. The type of authentication also matters and other factors.
