How to handle cross thread exception in WPF with MVVM

Sadly there is no turn around to this problem, you have to use the Dispatcher object to raise events and functions to be performed on the main thread (UI thread). Handling the exception is just as easy as try catch block. 

 

But I believe you wanted to ask for a solution. In your case, I am not sure what you are trying to do. But to communicate with the main thread from other threads (mostly used in asynchronous tasks) is by using the dispatcher and use the BeginInvoke (or only Invoke) function.
