in data base after stock 0 next item need to display

Hi,

   In STock Table same item they are enter qty in entry different dates  now i want to display in dropdown where itemcode and order by date but i what i want i st row stock is null then i need to display second row stock there is no stock need to check other row stock value how to check that row values
