Is there any alternative for Timer Control in Winforms.

First of all, there are two Timer objects.

System.Timers.Timer object
System.Windows.Forms.Timer

Secondly, "no", Timer class is the best way to do it. I won't recommend tinkering around with other objects and items because they will not be as much efficient as .NET's default types. You can use either ones of these classes and get your job done. :-)

I don't understand the purpose of "implementing" the Timer class, when it is already available there.

The thing is that Timer would calculate the time based on the clock ticks passed from the time it was started. Then, you have to divide the clock ticks on the frequency of the CPU. That is how you implement a timer class.

I know these both ways. Both are same.

System.Timers.Timer object
System.Windows.Forms.Timer

Kindly let me know is there other ways to implement the same.
