Is there any way to retrieve the label image name?

Nope, i haven't used openFileDialog. I have used image.fromfile to make background image of a label. such as,

label1.Image = Image.FromFile(Directory.GetCurrentDirectory() + "//images//card/" + aList[0] + ".png");

 

as the list[0] gives a random value, I want to know the name or tag or something of that image which is the background of the label. Is there any way?

This is a pretty much context based problem, if you are still in the first context (using the file to construct the image), then perhaps you already have the image name (as the parameter). 

 

If you have saved the graphics or bitmap object as a new image (the image of the label that you are talking about) then you do not hold the access to the previous file being used. So, there is no way that you can get the image name of the file that was used previously to create this label. However, in the initial case, you can use the name that you passed as the text.

 

Also, Safayat, you did not mention how did you get the image? Did you use OpenFileDialog object to select the file? If so, then you can get the file name from openFileDialog1.FileName and then use it. Otherwise, there might be a method, so please tell what is your function or method being used so that I might help you out. :)
