Refreshing my PC (Windows 8)

my laptop came with windows 8 installed and it had only a single partition and after that i created 4 partitions in it....

now i had upgraded to windows 8.1

my ques is if i "Refresh my PC with affecting files" will it again go back and create only a single partition and where will my data go ? or it will retain all 4 partitions.

Your computer will be restored to the same condition means you will lost all your drive that you have created newly. Restore is the process that makes your computer back to a place just as had seen while buying your PC.

Created partitions will not go anywhere until you merge it.
