How we can create shared assembly in vb.net ?

To create a shared assembly - a dll assembly that can be used by multiple applications - you need to do two things : give it a strong name and install it in the Global Assembly Cache (GAC). There's a readable account of how to do this for a VB.Net dll here ( http://www.vkinfotek.com/assemblyhowto.html ). Although it was written for VS 2005 it should hold good for later versions. If you can't find the AssemblyInfo.vb file, then click 'Show All Files' under the Project menu and it should then be shown under the Project folder in Solution Explorer

shared assembly is one that is used by multiple applications on the machine. A shared assembly must have a name that is globally unique. The .NET Framework supports these naming requirements through a technique called strong names. Shared assemblies must have a "strong name" consisting of the name of the assembly, the version, a 64 bit hash of a public key (called a ´token´) and the culture. To create a strong name for an assembly (that is, to generate a public/private key pair), you'll have to use another utility called sn.exe.
