Hi Shraddha, There are two possible modes: Windows Authentication mode and mixed mode. Windows Authentication mode enables Windows Authentication and disables SQL Server Authentication. Mixed mode enables both Windows Authentication and SQL Server Authentication. Windows Authentication is always available and cannot be disabled. There are Two Authentication Modes - Windows Authentication Mode It Uses Windows Authentication To Login. Here SQL Server uses you computer Authentication to get you login into sql server. It is used when you are accessing Sql server on same computer. Here both your code and sql server resides on same PC 2. Mixed Mode Authentication - This Mode is Business level Authentication and Highly used at professional level. Think of a modal where more than one user needs to be allowed to access sql server and may at different permission levels in that case sql server mixed mode is useful.
