What is new in C# and How to use Windows forms Application in .NET

Question

Hi, I am new to C# and i am kind of intermediate programmer but want to improve my skills in C# and use it professionaly at later stage. I want to start some programs apart from "hello world" :) what can be the small applications to start from. I would appreciate any applications in Console and then move to Windows Applications. I am currently reading Arrays,loops,functions and exceptions in C# to start something.One application came in my mind to start from is make Quick Sort in C#. But what would you suggest please? I would be really thankful in this regards. Haroon
