Allow People Search Directly from Search Box

When I need to search any user in this website then I have to first click on the Search icon and that redirect to me a Search page and from there I have to choose People Search and then my search works. I guess we should make people search also to be work from the search box directly. The concept should be like, when I enter any name say "ABCS" and hit enter then it should show relevant details from user as well as from other contents. And now from there I should be able to filter the result by People.
