Key Responsibilities
- Design & Development. Create and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes on the Azure platform to ensure seamless data flow.
- Collaboration. Work closely with data architects and stakeholders to translate data requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Data Storage Solutions. Implement and manage data storage solutions using Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, and other relevant Azure services.
- Data Modeling. Develop and optimize data models for analytics and reporting, ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting. Proactively monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to identify and resolve performance issues and data inconsistencies.
- Security & Compliance. Implement necessary security measures to protect sensitive data, adhering to company policies and industry best practices.
- Cross-Functional Support. Collaborate with teams to support data analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence initiatives.
- Continuous Improvement. Stay current with Azure technologies, recommending and implementing improvements for enhanced data processing efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Documentation. Document technical designs, processes, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and future reference.
Qualifications
- Education. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Experience. Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with a focus on Azure cloud technologies.
- Technical Proficiency
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure HDInsight.
- Proficient in SQL programming, data modeling, and database design principles.
- Experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for dashboard and report creation.
- Data Warehousing Knowledge. Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
- Scripting Skills. Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Scala for automation and orchestration.
- Problem-Solving Skills. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Communication Skills. Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across teams and convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Certifications. Azure certifications such as Microsoft Certified, Azure Data Engineer Associate are a plus.
