As a Cloud and DevOps engineer, you will have strong cloud platform experience (preferably with Amazon Web Services) and will be responsible for automating operations, maintaining and supporting infrastructure, coding and scripting, as well as communicating and collaborating with, and advising our development teams.
Responsibilities
- You will work with your team and others, contributing to the design, and implementation of cloud-based solutions and the development will be primarily in typescript, config files, shell script and Python
- Work collaboratively to automate, deploy and operate our systems.
- Provide advice, training and technical support for various projects
- Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operation
- Working experience with Terraform
- Manage Kubernetes clusters for container orchestration and AWS automation
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our development, test and production environments.
Minimum Qualification
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or a related technical field, or equivalent industry level experience.
- Working experience with serverless technologies in AWS, Google Cloud, MS Azure, or other widely used Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge on languages like Python, Ruby is a plus
- Knowledge of cloud networking architecture, cloud operations, security, automation and orchestration
- Experience with virtualization technologies, in particular, VMWare and KVM
- Experience with the implementation and/or operations of medium to large-scale enterprise cloud infrastructures
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code concepts (terraform, cloud formation)
- Experience in at least one additional scripting language (Bash, Javascript/node, etc)
Preferred qualifications
- Knowledge of Continuous Integration (CI) /Continuous Delivery (CD) concepts, tools, and technologies.
- Knowledge of security concepts such as encryption, certificates, and key management.
- Experience deploying applications with modern CI-CD tools like Pivotal concourse is a plus
- Experience in troubleshooting performance of Linux based computing environments
- Experience working with other virtualization technologies such as Kubernetes Docker is a must.
