  • On a typical day, a Support Engineer will be primarily responsible for solving customer’s cases through a variety of customer contact channels which include telephone, email, and web/live chat. You will apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide tailored solutions for our customers and drive customer interactions by thoughtfully working with customers to dive deep into the root cause of an issue.
  • Apart from working on a broad spectrum of technical issues, an AWS Support Engineer may also coach/mentor new hires, develop & present training, partner with development teams on complex issues or contact deflection initiatives, participate in new hiring, write tools/script to help the team, or work with leadership on process improvement and strategic initiatives to ensure better CX and compliance with global AWS standards, practices and policies.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

The Cloud Support Security Engineer role supports our services that have a focus on enabling security specialists using AWS Services including Identity Access Management (IAM), GuardDuty, Shield, Key Management Service (KMS), CloudTrail, CloudHSM, Inspector etc. Within AWS, security is job zero, and we believe that solid security practices are the foundation for using the Cloud. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about working with products targeted for security professionals as well as being the local expert in India within the team on AWS Security services. As well as supporting our customers, you will be leading operational improvement initiatives and training within the local team as well as handling escalations and partnering with our internal teams in India.
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
  • Requires minimum of 2+ yrs experience in relevant technical position
  • Working knowledge or experience of information security within the enterprise
  • A strong grasp of Information Security and implemented processes to review IT infrastructure
  • Knowledge and experience with threat modeling and penetration testing, especially for web application and web APIs.
  • Web security and compliance experience (e.g. Firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, DDOS prevention and PCI, HIPAA, FIPS, etc.)


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
 

  • Experience working with Hardware Security Models.
  • Deploying Identity and Access Management systems to secure production and corporate access, such as: SSO, SAML
  • Understanding of Cloud Security across realms of Identity, Monitoring Auditing and Cryptography
  • Experience using configuration management (e.g., Puppet, Chef, Ansible, CloudFormation, etc.)
  • Knowledge or experience with broad array of security technologies, such as NextGen FW, WAF, SIEM, Endpoint Security and more.
  • One or more security-related certifications, such as CISSP, CEH, CISA, CISM, SECURITY+, OSCP, etc.
