Job Description

As a Compliance Senior Manager at PhonePe, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring adherence to regulatory frameworks and ethical standards across our diverse portfolio of financial services. Reporting to the Director of Compliance, you'll collaborate with various stakeholders to develop and implement robust compliance programs, policies, and procedures. Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Implementations Charter

  • Develop comprehensive project plans to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with legal, business, and product teams to discuss and implement regulatory requirements.
  • Provide regular updates on implementation progress and maintain evidence for audit purposes.
  • Stay updated on regulatory developments and best practices to enhance compliance standards.

Policies and Procedure Governance

  • Review and update non-IT policies and procedures in alignment with regulatory changes.
  • Work with stakeholders to develop product-specific policies and procedures.
  • Implement controls and evaluate the efficiency of compliance processes continuously.
  • Document and operationalize compliance processes to ensure adherence to guidelines.

Regulatory and Compliance Audits

  • Act as a liaison with regulators and manage communication effectively.
  • Plan and oversee non-IT audits, including statutory and regulatory audits.
  • Serve as the point of contact for audit-related activities and ensure timely resolution of issues.

Periodic Risk Assessments

  • Lead risk assessment initiatives, defining inherent risks and evaluating control effectiveness.
  • Prepare risk assessment reports with recommendations for strengthening controls.
  • Obtain stakeholder approval for risk assessment reports in a timely manner.

Team Building and Management Reporting

  • Build and manage a high-performing compliance team.
  • Develop growth charters for team members and facilitate learning programs.
  • Maintain reports and KPIs to monitor compliance processes.
  • Participate in talent acquisition and skill development initiatives.

Basic and Advanced Qualifications

  • Post Graduate in Finance/Risk Management, MBA, CA, or CS with at least 6 years of experience in Financial Service Compliance.
  • In-depth knowledge of banking, payment, insurance, and fintech regulations in India.
  • Proven track record of leadership in compliance management.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Certified compliance professional preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills required.
