Job Description

As the Design Manager, you will lead the vision and strategy for creating spectacular custom templates. You'll work closely with the team to set standards, develop playbooks, provide design feedback, and ensure that templates empower users to build stunningly breathtaking content with simplicity and ease.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the vision and strategy for custom templates, translating relevant trends into actionable standards.
  • Infuse inspiration into the template design practice while maintaining product principles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to connect template designers with product teams.
  • Guide and review templates for clarity, consistency, and quality.
  • Manage designer velocity rates and output within the production pipeline.
  • Optimize template discovery to ensure relevant search results.
  • Ensure high-quality production of graphic design, staying updated on current design trends.

What You Need To Succeed

  • 6+ years of experience in graphic design, branding, or social campaign creation.
  • 2+ years of experience leading and developing a team of designers.
  • Keen understanding of cultural nuances in design.
  • Experience leading content efforts in a large, diverse organization.
  • Ability to develop standards and provide feedback against them.
  • Skills to mentor junior designers and ensure team success.
  • Outstanding visual design and communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience with motion graphics, video, or similar mediums.
  • Knowledge of content management systems and taxonomy schemas.
