As a Customer Engineer specializing in machine learning, you'll play a pivotal role in helping customers unlock the full potential of Google Cloud solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in virtualization or cloud-native architectures in a customer-facing or support role.
  • Expertise in big data and machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn, with a track record of implementing Machine Learning Operations at an enterprise scale on any cloud platform.
  • Proven experience engaging with technical stakeholders and executive leaders, delivering impactful presentations and solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in building and deploying data and ML pipelines with a focus on automation.
  • Experience with Machine Learning Operations frameworks like Kubeflow and leveraging specific machine learning architectures (e.g., deep learning, LSTM, convolutional networks, etc.).
  • Ability to understand complex customer software workloads and define technical migration roadmaps to the Cloud tailored to specific customer needs.
  • Familiarity with machine learning programming frameworks such as LangChain, PyTorch, HuggingFace, and TensorFlow.
  • Experience in prompt tuning and delivering successful prototypes.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, address key customer technical objections, and develop strategies to overcome technical blockers.
  • Provide machine learning expertise to support the technical relationship with Google’s customers, conducting product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and partnering directly with product management to prioritize solutions impacting customer adoption.
  • Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to implement comprehensive solutions using best practices on Google Cloud.
  • Travel to customer sites, conferences, and related events as necessary to support business objectives.
