Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team, focusing on Risk Management, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), and other critical areas of network and infrastructure security. This role is essential for ensuring the protection of our systems and data, compliance with governance standards, and effective response to security threats.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Risk Management. Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to the organization’s information assets and infrastructure. Develop and implement strategies to manage and reduce potential security threats.
  2. Security Information and Event Management (SIEM). Monitor, analyze, and respond to security events and incidents using SIEM tools. Ensure timely detection and resolution of potential threats.
  3. Security Operations Centre (SOC). Operate within the SOC to monitor security alerts, investigate incidents, and coordinate responses to security breaches or anomalies.
  4. Firewall Management. Configure, manage, and troubleshoot firewalls to ensure robust protection against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
  5. Governance and Compliance. Ensure adherence to relevant security policies, standards, and regulations. Conduct regular audits and assessments to maintain compliance.
  6. Vulnerability Assessment. Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address security weaknesses within the infrastructure.
  7. Network Security. Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against intrusions, malware, and other cyber threats.
  8. Infrastructure Security. Ensure the security of physical and virtual infrastructure through effective security practices and tools.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies.
  • Experience with SIEM tools and technologies.
  • Proven expertise in firewall configuration and management.
  • Solid knowledge of governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks.
  • Proficiency in performing vulnerability assessments and network security.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure security best practices.
  • Ability to work during US business hours (6:30 PM IST to 3:30 AM IST).

Preferred Certifications

  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP)
  • Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar cybersecurity role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
