As a Data Scientist III, you will provide quantitative support, market understanding, and strategic insights to various partners across the organization. Your role involves extracting insights from data, performing statistical analysis, and leveraging your expertise to guide decision-making processes. You will communicate your findings effectively, transforming complex data into actionable recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Data Analysis. Utilize tools such as SQL, R, and Python to analyze data, employing your technical knowledge to navigate custom data infrastructure and existing data models.
- Data Management. Own the data gathering, extraction, and compilation processes, ensuring the quality and validity of data through rigorous formatting and restructuring.
- Reporting. Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to inform business reviews and leadership discussions, translating analytical results into business insights and opportunities for product improvements.
- Product Insights. Provide analytical insights and recommendations to influence product feature development decisions with minimal guidance.
- Prototype Development. Build and prototype analyses and business cases iteratively to scale insights, developing a comprehensive understanding of Google’s data structures and metrics.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- 5 years of work experience in analysis applications, statistical analysis, or coding (Python, R, SQL) OR 2 years of work experience with a Master’s degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a relevant quantitative field.
- 5 years of work experience in analysis applications with proficiency in Python, R, and SQL.
