As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in shaping our technical infrastructure, enhancing automation, and ensuring the reliability of our systems. You will work closely with development, operations, and testing teams to create a seamless workflow from code development to production deployment.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Automation
- Design, implement, and manage automated infrastructure provisioning using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Build scalable and reliable infrastructure that supports business growth and rapid deployments.
Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD)
- Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable faster, more reliable software releases.
- Implement tools and practices that minimize manual intervention and streamline deployments.
Cloud Infrastructure Management
- Oversee the configuration and performance of cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Optimize cloud resources to ensure cost-effectiveness without compromising performance or scalability.
Configuration Management
- Utilize tools like Ansible or Puppet to maintain consistent configurations across multiple environments.
- Ensure systems are compliant with organizational standards and policies.
Monitoring and Alerting
- Set up comprehensive monitoring systems to identify potential issues proactively.
- Develop alerting mechanisms that facilitate swift incident resolution and system stability.
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Act as a bridge between development, testing, and operations teams to foster a culture of shared responsibility and collaboration.
- Ensure that all stakeholders are aligned on project goals and timelines.
Troubleshooting and Problem Solving
- Investigate and resolve complex infrastructure, deployment, and application-related issues.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement preventative measures to avoid recurring problems.
Security and Compliance
- Adhere to industry security best practices to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance.
- Implement security measures in collaboration with other teams to protect the organization’s assets.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in a DevOps or equivalent role.
- Proficiency in scripting languages, particularly Python and Bash.
- Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools, including but not limited to Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and CircleCI.
- Solid grasp of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles and their implementation.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications in cloud platforms such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Expert, or Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer.
- Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.
- Knowledge of database management and optimization.
- Exposure to Agile and DevOps methodologies and principles.
