Oracle is seeking a talented and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our Oracle CX Marketing DevOps team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting internally hosted application environments, ensuring performance, reliability, and seamless deployment processes. We are looking for someone who is highly skilled in CI/CD, scripting, automation, and containerization while maintaining a strong focus on customer-centric solutions and operational excellence.
As a DevOps Engineer, you will actively contribute to the design, development, and implementation of automation tools and strategies that improve the efficiency and scalability of our applications. You will collaborate closely with development teams to optimize workflows, drive process improvements, and enhance overall system reliability. Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with development teams to streamline workflows, optimize performance, and enhance automation.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Maven, Ant, Make, or similar tools.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Design and develop distributed engineering solutions and automation tools to support operational efficiency.
- Lead project teams throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring best practices in DevOps implementation.
- Collaborate across teams to build robust monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions for system health and performance.
- Participate in change management processes, ensuring minimal risk while implementing updates and improvements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system performance bottlenecks, scalability issues, and reliability concerns.
- Maintain version control standards using Git, Subversion, and other distributed version control systems.
- Work with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, Puppet to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the team.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience. 5 to 9 years of experience in DevOps, CI/CD, and automation.
- Programming Skills. Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, or other enterprise-level programming languages.
- Scripting Expertise. Strong experience in Python and Shell scripting within Unix/Linux environments.
- Containerization. Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for container deployment and management.
- Build Tools. Proficiency with Maven, Ant, Make for build and dependency management.
- CI/CD Implementation. Expertise in Jenkins and other CI/CD tools to set up, maintain, and optimize pipelines.
- Version Control. Solid understanding of Git, Subversion, or similar distributed version control systems.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Knowledge of Ansible, Chef, Puppet is a plus.
- System Administration & Networking. A good understanding of networking concepts, security protocols, and system administration.
