As an EDI Developer, you'll be at the forefront of our company's digital integration efforts, responsible for the seamless flow of electronic data interchange (EDI) processes and applications. Reporting to the EDI Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in analyzing, designing, implementing, and supporting EDI integrations. Your expertise will ensure smooth operations, support existing systems, and drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Integration Development. Analyze, design, develop, test, and implement new EDI integrations using DMEDI framework.
- Interface Management. Create and maintain interfaces between backend applications and EDI systems to facilitate efficient data exchange.
- Mapping and Compliance. Design and maintain all EDI maps to ensure compliance with business requirements and industry standards.
- Issue Resolution. Provide support for EDI-related issues and incidents by researching, analyzing, and resolving problems in collaboration with the EDI team and partners.
- Operational Support. Collaborate with the EDI Lead Developer and partners to resolve operational issues and enhance current implementations.
- Process Improvement. Analyze existing EDI implementations, identifying opportunities for improvement, and making recommendations accordingly.
- Documentation. Create and maintain detailed documentation and process flows for all EDI integrations to ensure clarity and continuity.
- Communication. Provide regular status updates on assigned tasks and integrations, fostering transparent communication within the team.
Qualifications
- Education. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent.
- Experience. Minimum 5 years' experience with EDI in the retail or food industry.
- Technical Aptitude. Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn modern technologies and processes.
- Communication Skills. Excellent verbal and oral communication skills with a positive can-do attitude.
- EDI Tools. Experience with Data Mason DMEDI and Vantage Point preferred.
- Mapping Expertise. Strong experience in XML, ANSI X12, flat file, CSV mapping.
- Standards Knowledge. Proficiency in industry standards supporting EDI transactions (850, 855, 856, etc.).
- ERP Experience. Strong experience working with ERP D365F&SCM is essential.
- Partner Connectivity. Proficiency in setting up connections with trading partners (AS2, AS3, SFTP, FTP).
- Database Skills. Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
- Development Background. Development or scripting background with languages like C#, .NET, Node.js, Java, shell, and Python.
- Attention to Detail. Demonstrates accuracy and diligence in all tasks and responsibilities.
