As a Software Engineering Manager in the Android Games and Graphics organization, you will lead groundbreaking projects that shape the future of mobile gaming and graphics. Your leadership will guide a talented team of engineers, driving excellence in Android's Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) drivers and elevating the gaming experience on the world's most popular mobile platform.

Responsibilities

  1. Team Leadership. Lead and mentor a diverse team of engineers to enhance the quality of GPU drivers in the Android ecosystem. Foster a collaborative environment that promotes innovation and high performance.
  2. Driver Quality Improvement. Work closely with game developers and high-performance app developers to identify and address driver regressions. Translate these findings into actionable certification processes.
  3. Performance Metrics Development. Create and implement a driver quality metric to measure and drive ecosystem impact, ensuring high standards of performance and reliability across Android devices.
  4. Project Management. Oversee large-scale projects, manage budgets, and coordinate efforts across multiple teams and locations internationally. Contribute to product strategy and ensure timely delivery of key milestones.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 8 years of experience in software development with expertise in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
  • Minimum of 3 years in a technical leadership role, with at least 2 years of experience in people management or team leadership.
  • Proven experience in Android development and Graphics.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in game development, with a strong understanding of graphics rendering and performance optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) driver creation, testing, or debugging.
