As an Engineering Manager - Test, you will lead a team responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our products through rigorous testing and engineering practices. You will play a crucial role in shaping the testing strategy, driving best practices, and managing stakeholder relationships to deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and Strategy. Facilitate discussions and lead decision-making on all engineering aspects of your team. Define and execute engineering plans, drive best practices, and maintain production system hygiene.
- Team Management. Hire, mentor, and retain a high-performing engineering team. Ensure effective stakeholder management across business, product, operations, and clients/vendors.
- Engineering Excellence. Drive the design and implementation of large-scale distributed systems. Challenge business and product teams on outcomes, channelize feedback into execution, and ensure engineering outputs meet high standards.
- Quality Assurance. Develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies to ensure the reliability and performance of products. Manage and oversee the testing lifecycle to deliver high-quality software.
Qualifications
- Educational Background. BTech, MTech, or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical discipline (or equivalent).
- Experience. 8+ years of software development experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Proven track record in building and managing high-performing teams and experience in designing and implementing large-scale systems.
Skills
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly and concisely.
- Experience with distributed systems and large-scale application design.
- Practical experience in driving design and architecture of multiple subsystems.
- Previous experience in startup environments and fast-paced settings is a plus.
