Job Description

If you are an Industrial Automation domain expert with cybersecurity experience and certification, Emerson has an exciting role for you! We are seeking a dedicated cybersecurity engineer to join our ETS Team. In this role, you will work both independently and as part of a team to design and implement cybersecurity for RTU/SCADA projects in compliance with IEC62443 standards.

Responsibilities

  1. Assess and Evaluate Solutions. Ensure solutions comply with security standards.
  2. Cybersecurity Implementation. Implement cybersecurity measures in RTU SCADA projects.
  3. Travel Requirements. Engage in short-term travel to onshore or offshore sites within India or other countries for preFAT, FAT, and SAT.
  4. Quality Contribution. Enhance the overall quality of the organization within the engineering space.
  5. Performance Assurance. Ensure high performance across various platforms.
  6. Procedure Development. Create standard procedures and documentation for repeat use.
  7. Review Deliverables. Evaluate quality and accuracy of deliverables with peers and leads.
  8. Compliance Monitoring. Ensure compliance with processes and targets.
  9. Maintain QMS. Manage QMS system for defects, rework, and other indicators.
  10. Contractual Adherence. Maintain cost, quality, and schedule as per contractual terms.

Requirements

  1. Experience. 3-5 years of experience in implementing cybersecurity solutions for RTU and SCADA projects in the Oil and Gas sector.
  2. Technical Knowledge. Proficiency with various RTUs and SCADA systems.
  3. Preferred Expertise. Experience with Emerson OE SCADA and ControlWave RTU, and hands-on experience with Modbus, OPC, and DNP3 communication.
  4. Communication. Exposure to Radio and Wireless communication between RTU’s and Host Systems like SCADA.
  5. Technical Skills. 3-5 years' experience in Windows Server Installation, Windows Administration, and networking.
  6. FAT and SAT Experience. Proficient in FAT and SAT of SCADA with domestic and international clients.
  7. Liaison Skills. Effective liaison with customers, vendors, and factories to fulfill documentation and inspection requirements.
  8. Coordination. Coordinate tests and inspections of all bought-out and fabricated items.
  9. Computer Skills. Proficiency in Windows, Outlook, MS Word, Adobe Acrobat, and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Educational Background. Degree in Instrumentation & Control, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.
  2. Networking Knowledge. Basic understanding of networking protocols and concepts.
  3. Documentation Skills. Ability to describe and document overall project strategy.
  4. Team Contribution. Ability to contribute to and help maintain the engineering team.
  5. Communication Skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Innovative Mindset. Innovative thinking and a drive for results.
  7. Savviness. Organizational and interpersonal savvy.
  8. Ethics. Strong business ethics and integrity.
