We are currently on the lookout for a Firmware Architect to be part of our high-performing and globally connected team in Bangalore. This is a senior-level position, offering you the chance to lead by expertise while working hands-on in shaping future-ready embedded firmware solutions.
What You'll Do
- Firmware Ownership. Lead the architecture, design, and development of embedded firmware across a variety of innovative products focusing on performance, scalability, and reliability.
- System Integration. Implement firmware for both embedded Linux platforms and microcontroller-based systems, ensuring seamless integration with hardware components.
- Cross-functional Collaboration. Partner closely with hardware engineers, software developers, product managers, and QA teams to define system requirements and specifications.
- Technical Leadership. Conduct detailed code reviews, provide technical direction, and mentor junior team members to uphold engineering excellence.
- Process Innovation. Drive the evolution of firmware development practices by establishing industry-standard processes, documentation protocols, and best practices.
- Troubleshooting & Optimization. Take ownership of debugging complex firmware challenges and delivering timely, high-quality fixes and updates.
- Continuous Learning & Application. Stay informed on the latest trends and technologies in embedded systems and apply innovative thinking to drive team capabilities forward.
- Compliance & Standards. Ensure adherence to relevant industry standards and compliance requirements using modern tools and frameworks.
What We’re Looking For – Your Strengths
- Education. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience. 15 to 20 years of experience in embedded firmware development, with proven success in technical leadership roles.
Technical Expertise
- Strong background in embedded Linux and microcontroller-based systems.
- Hands-on experience in C, C++, and scripting in Python.
- Excellent understanding of hardware-software integration and RTOS.
- Familiarity with communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, CAN.
Leadership Qualities
- Experience mentoring teams and guiding architecture decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and projects.
Soft Skills
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical thinking.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Bonus Skills
- Experience with compliance tools and standards in embedded development.
- Knowledge of wireless communication technologies such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
- Exposure to Cloud and Edge IoT platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP.
