We are seeking a dynamic and high-energy Human Resources Assistant to support our HR functions and promote our company culture. This role involves managing various HR activities, including onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, and employee engagement, and will contribute significantly to our HR team’s success.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the execution of HR programs and procedures for all employees.
- Manage the onboarding process for India-based employees, including drafting employment contracts, handling new hire forms, coordinating with Payroll/IT, and maintaining employee files.
- Liaise with benefits carriers to enroll new hires, address employee inquiries, and manage benefits changes.
- Support the HR team with US new hire onboarding, including background checks, drug screening, and orientation.
- Foster positive employee relations through survey management, recognition projects, and engagement initiatives.
- Contribute to the development of new HR initiatives and policies.
- Maintain employee documentation, HR databases, and process forms.
- Respond to inquiries via email, phone, and fax, escalating issues to appropriate department managers when necessary.
- Uphold company policies and direct inquiries to relevant departments.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support across HR functions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- 1-2 years of clerical experience in human resources preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility and a proactive approach to tasks and projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Capable of navigating multiple computer systems and applications.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
