Join Intel's Information Technology Group (IT) to support, maintain, and enhance a custom-built FuSa compliant PLC and Defect Management platform. This role involves leveraging Java and MSSQL technologies to provide end-to-end support for product development lifecycle tracking across Intel's product groups. You'll play a pivotal role in troubleshooting complex technical issues, enhancing platform functionalities, and transitioning from a legacy monolithic system to a microservices architecture using Java Spring Boot.
Responsibilities
System Support and Enhancement
- Provide day-to-day support, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues related to the platform, including on-call support during prime hours.
- Implement enhancements and features using Java, following the SDLC lifecycle (Design, Develop, QA, Release).
- Optimize platform performance through fine-tuning SQL stored procedures and queries.
Process Improvement and Innovation
- Collaborate with teams to identify and implement solutions for recurring issues.
- Drive the transition from legacy systems to microservices architecture, emphasizing scalability and performance improvements.
- Continuously improve REST-based APIs to meet evolving business needs.
Quality and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with software development best practices and quality/process standards.
- Provide comprehensive documentation for ongoing support and future enhancements.
Agile Team Collaboration
- Work cohesively in a self-organized agile team environment.
- Participate in Agile methodologies with a focus on CI/CD principles.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar fields.
- 3+ years of experience in.
- SQL development, including writing and tuning stored procedures and queries.
- Software development in Java or other Object Oriented Languages.
- Proficiency in any scripting language such as Python, PowerShell, or Perl.
- Advanced English proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing middleware/webservices and working with relational databases (e.g., MSSQL, MySQL).
- Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Familiarity with Linux environment.
- Knowledge of ElasticSearch, Redis.
- Experience with Agile methodologies with a focus on CI/CD.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
