Job Description

As a Lead QA Engineer at SimCorp, you'll play a crucial role in supporting some of the world's largest financial institutions. You’ll join our Standard Platform Product Area as part of a Scrum Team, where you’ll be responsible for refining and building frameworks for Configuration Management and Test Automation. This role involves collaborating with Product Owners, System Architects, subject matter experts, and engineers to streamline the implementation of our Standard Platform and shape the future of configuration management for SaaS.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of testers, ensuring high-quality standards in their work.
  • Develop and implement test plans and strategies.
  • Identify, document, and manage defects.
  • Design and build automated test frameworks and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Track Quality Assurance metrics such as defect density and open defect count.
  • Contribute to designing future SaaS frameworks and reviewing code.
  • Work with product management to define and prioritize new features.
  • Collaborate with your agile team to achieve sprint goals and continuously improve processes.
  • Focus on improving build and deployment times, system performance, scalability, and team effectiveness.
  • Stay updated with modern technologies and testing methodologies to drive innovation.

What We’re Looking For

  • Significant experience in a similar role with a strong background in software testing.
  • Proficiency in programming with a solid understanding of object-oriented design and development.
  • Experience with C#, PowerShell, Selenium, Azure, and general automation.
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft stack and agile principles.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with fluency in English.
  • Experience working in international settings and a positive, constructive approach.
  • Skills in test automation, TDD, agile testing, and various testing methodologies (e.g., testing pyramid, automated UI tests, API testing).
  • Knowledge of additional technologies like XUnit, NUnit, RestSharp, Moq, AutoMapper, FluentAssertions, SpecFlow, JMeter, Postman, Azure DevOps, Docker/Kubernetes is a plus.
